Why Ocarina Festival in Ninomiya town ?

Toho Hatano, the triple ocarina maestro, succeeded in widening the range of ocarina drastically, by developing the first Triple Ocarina ICARUS.

His world’s first development expanded the music that can be expressed by ocarina and has increased Triple Ocarina lovers around the world.

Why NANOHANA,Canola flower ?

Our hometown Ninomiya is a small rural town in Shonan and has no historical sites or famous tourist spots.

However,in Azumayama Park in January, we can enjoy the early spring field of Canola Flowers  along with the beautiful view of snow white Mt.Fuji and shining Sagami Bay. 

We feel the joy of life when small and pretty yellow blossoms endure cold wind and announce the arrival of spring.

This is similar to the joy when the success of an ocarina ensemble brings great excitement to the audience.

The ocarina which is not a major instrument like Piano or Violin,looks like a canola flower if the Piano be a large beautiful rose flower.

Why Ocarina NANOHANA Festival in January ?

So we thought that the early spring of Canola Flower would be the best if holding an ocarina festival in this town.
